    Pure Encapsulations Folate is provided in this formula as Metafolin®, the naturally occurring universally metabolized form of folate.  Metafolin® is chemically identical to the active folate metabolite, 5-methyl-tetrahydrofolate(L-5-MTHF).  L-5-MTHF is the predominant, naturally occurring form of folate in food.  Through bypassing several enzymatic activation steps, it is directly usable by the body and provides all of the benefits of folic acid regardless of functional or genetic variations.

    Folate (calcium L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, MetafolinÂ) ...... 1000 mcg

    Non-Medicinal Ingredients:
     Hypoallergenic plant cellulose, vegetar-ian capsule (hypromellose, water).

    Helps to form red blood cells. Helps to prevent folate deficiency. Helps to reduce the risk of neural tube defects when taken daily at least 3 months prior to becoming pregnant and during early pregnancy. Recommended Dose:Adults: Take 1 capsule daily or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Risk Information: Folate may mask a vitamin B12 deficiency. Consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are unsure whether you are taking enough vitamin B12. Keep out of the reach of children.
