Vitamin C is required for the protection of the cells from oxidative stress and for the regeneration of the reduced form of Vitamin E. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin. It is also necessary for the formation of collagen for the formation of blood vessels and cartilage.
