AOR is proud to introduce another unique and novel combination of two patented botanical extracts: saffron and fenugreek seed. These botanical herbs individually have a long history of use in the management and prevention of undesirable symptoms associated with a decline in estrogen levels that occur during perimenopause and menopause. These symptoms can have profound impacts on the physical and mental health of women such as vasomotor symptoms like hot flashes, vaginal dryness and irritability.

Fenugreek seeds are a source of a particularly powerful class of molecules called saponins, particularly protodioscin, which has been studied for its aphrodisiac and estrogen-modulating properties. Studies suggest this is the active molecule responsible for the hormone-balancing effects of this herb.

Saffron has long been touted as the “cure for all that ails you” –  gaining interest for its wide-ranging benefits from cardiovascular support and more recently for its positive effects on low mood and worry. Unfortunately, saffron is notoriously difficult to harvest and extract the active crocin molecules from the delicate stigma of the flower. Leaving extracts susceptible to adulteration.
